Care-1. Shuttle Race Cleaning & Oiling
Lint from fabrics continuously accumulates in the bobbin chamber and shuttle race, jamming the mechanism. Remove the bobbin cover plate weekly, sweep out the lint using a small brush, and apply exactly two drops of premium sewing machine oil to the outer ring of the shuttle race. Run the machine for 1 minute without thread to distribute the oil uniformly.
Care-2. Monsoon Rust Prevention
During India's highly humid monsoon season, alloy steel components (needles, bobbin holders, flywheels) are prone to oxidation rust. Always store your machine inside its covered plastic carrying case. Place 2–3 silica gel packets inside the storage box to absorb moisture, and wipe down the metal shuttle surfaces with a lint-free oil-dampened cloth weekly.
Care-3. Solving Thread Tension Jams
If thread bunched up beneath the fabric (bird nesting), do not pull the fabric forcibly. Turn off power, cut the bunched thread, and check needle alignment. A bent or blunt needle is the primary cause of tension failure. Always replace needles after 8–10 hours of active sewing, and avoid cheap, unbranded polyester threads that fray easily.
